I just got the greatest Christmas gift ever – a KitchenAid Stand Mixer! My sweet husband got it for me because he heard me talking about the KitchenAid Stand Mixer after I helped make Thanksgiving dinner with the family.
I made a few pies for our Thanksgiving dessert and I couldn’t believe how amazing the KitchenAid Stand Mixer was. I could mix all the ingredients for the crust while I prepared the apples, cherries, and other pie fillings; at the same time! I wasn’t accustomed to multi-tasking in the kitchen because when I mixed something I had to manually mix it.
I was impressed how sturdy and powerful the KitchenAid Stand Mixer was and it was also very smooth. It was even a lot quieter than my handheld beaters, which is what I usually mix with. I never thought I would care about a mixer, but I love my new KitchenAid.
They say that ignorance is bliss but I tell you what, bliss is using a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I definitely wasn’t “blissful” mixing and cooking and baking before my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. This stand mixer has made cooking and baking fun again. Yes, I said fun.
I find myself buying more brownie mix or looking up new dessert recipes to try out all because of my new KitchenAid. I haven’t heard any complaints from my husband yet on the increase of desserts so I think he likes my KitchenAid as well.

The KitchenAid has 10 variable speeds for mixing. To me, that feels like an infinite number of speeds because I’m used to High and Low. It also has a tilting head unit. It’s great because you don’t have to move and tilt the mixing bowl in all kinds of directions to get it off of the mixer. It also makes it a lot easier to add ingredients as you move along in a recipe.
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer has many kinds of mixers and beaters and stirring tools you can use. It even comes with a dough hook for those who are brave enough to make their own bread. There is also a multi-purpose attachment hub that allows you to use all kinds of nifty attachments.
I looked online at KitchenAid’s website and was blown away with all the awesome attachments the KitchenAid Stand Mixer has. There are pasta making attachments, juicers, meat grinders, veggie slicers and so many others available for the KitchenAid.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to completely express why I like one thing more than another. I know that for me cooking and baking have become fun again and that I enjoy being the master chef of my home again with my KitchenAid’s help. There’s something to be said about how sturdy and well built the KitchenAid is and how quality all the parts and pieces are.
If you’re still undecided about whether or not you’d like a KitchenAid, then go use one! I’m sure you have a friend, neighbor or relative who has a KitchenAid and I’m sure they’d tell you all about their love for their KitchenAid. I’m certain that anyone who uses a KitchenAid Stand Mixer will be hooked and love it.
